Bueno, configuré con dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86, configuré con xf86cfg (que tiene un fallo, si presiono con el botón 5 emulando el clic de ratón, no puedo presionar la opción del menú que aparece, y si quiero mover el puntero hacia la opción, tengo que dejar de clicar, y entonces desaparece). También configuré con xf86cfg -textmode, y dejé todo ok.
Aún así no anda ni el mouse (anda, pero mal) ni la interfaz gráfica, así que les muestro el archivo XF86Config-4.in, a ver qué me dicen. Conocen algún curso on-line gratuito donde se pueda aprender a entender estas cosas?
