Surely, your Ethernet card is Plug & Play... you should obtain a newer kernel version (try 2.2.16, the latest stable), and compile Plug & Play support in. Then compile the PCI NE2k support as a MODULE and append the line "ne2k-pci" (without the quotes) to your /etc/modules, so it will load at start-up.
It should work that way. If it doesn't, try telling your BIOS to Initialize the PCI devices as well as the ISA ones. (If it is a new computer the option must be there) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Egidazu Amaia" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <debian-user-spanish@lists.debian.org> Sent: Friday, June 16, 2000 9:05 AM Subject: PCI NE2000 > Dear friends, > > I am Amaia and I work in Ikerlan in the Basque Country. > We have bought a PC/104 embedded board from Eurotech with the > following characteristic: > * Flash disk (DiskOnChip). > * Hard disk. > * Floppy driver. > We have installed a Red Hat Linux version 6.0 on the hard disk of this > board. The Kernel we have installed is the 2.0.38.
