Hola, estoy desesperado. Llevo mucho tiempo mirando en google, y todas las 
referencias que he encontrado al respecto no dan resultado.

Así que voy a poner aquí paso a paso desde 0 que es lo que me pasa para ver si 
alguien me puede ayudar. 

Si necesitais algun dato más, alguna salida solo teneis que pedirmelo. Deciros 
solo que en Mandrake funciona, pese a que da un insmod error al arranque en 
mandrake y no inicia la red, si luego lo haces tu manualmente iniciando 
pcmcia y network funciona sin problemas.

discover y kudzu no la detectan

Hardware:

Toshiba Satellite 1700-200
Tarjeta de Red PCMCIA Surecom 32 bit 100/10 CardBus 428X/4B

Debian woody 3.0 kernel bf24

En la instalación:

-Configuro PCMCIA
-Eligo i82365
-Dejo las opciones en blanco
-Se produce 1 pitido grave, no se enciendes las luces de la tarjeta.
-No cargo ningun controlador
-La instalación no me pide que meta los datos de la red (porque no ha 
detectado la tarjeta por supuesto)
-Al pedirme que reinicie se produce un pitido agudo, las luces se enciende y 
parpadean y se apaga la tarjeta a continuación.
-Arrancando se produce un pitido grave, y la tarjeta no se enciende.

dmesg2.txt es la salida de dmesg

Ahora edito el archivo interfaces que adjunto también

$ifup eth0

Sale lo siguiente:

SIOCSIFADDR: No such device

si hago otro $ifup me dice:
ifup: interface eth0 already configure

pero si hago $ifconfig solo aparece lo, y no eth0

si hago 

$ifdown eth0

me dice:

SIOCDELRT: No such device

si hago $pcmcia status me dice
cardmgr is running...

Al hacer un lspci -v con la tarjeta puesta me dice

pcilib:cannot open /proc/bus/pci/02/000

Si hago lspci -v  sin la tarjeta puesta me dice

también os pongo el lsmod en lsmod.txt

Mantengo una relación amor/odio con debian. Llevo mucho tiempo queriendo 
ponerla, y de hecho la he puesto varias veces. Pero siempre acabo volviendo a 
mandrake. 

De hecho no me importa tener Debian y pelearme con las 3000 cosas!!! para que 
todo funcione, al fin y al cabo lo poco que he aprendido de un linux a pelo 
(incluido soltura básica con el vi) ha sido intentando configurar con la 
debian. Pero por lo que no paso es por no tener internet y mientras no 
consiga que funcione la tarjeta de red....
