I'm not sure what kind of memory it uses, it is a very old machine. I checked prices on the internet and you can get 128MB of PC100 SDRAM DIMM for about the price of a 4MB 30 pin SIMM (which is probably what it needs). It just doesn't make sense to pay good money to upgrade a 10 year old machine. Besides WALMART is supposedly coming out with a $199 computer running Lindows in the near future. -----Original Message----- From: Donald R. Since your computer is locking up at this point, you may be having a memory-shortage problem. It should work, but I can't say for sure since, it has been a long time since I installed Debian with anything less than 64 Megs of RAM. You might have a defective memory stick in there...dunno. Anyway, if possible, try sticking in some more memory if you can. You won't regret it.... Cheers, -Don Spoon- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
