- if you are just looking to read autocad files ( *.dwg, *,.dxf ) than
  there's lots of options
        Linux-CAE.net/CAD

- if you are looking to edit autocad files in a production environment 
  where you make sheet metal and parts for houses ...
        bite the bullet and use windoze ... for now
