first user account as admin rights (via sudo). there is a root user, but it is locked out by default. it's enabled simply by setting a password for it: sudo passwd root however, you can get into a root shell without enabling the root account with: sudo -H -s http://www.ubuntulinux.org/support/documentation/faq/root -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
