Directly, no. But it is not impossible to *reproduce* it using EPS, as long as you don't want the EPS itself to be transparent (i.e. blend it to something that is behind it). Arguably, oo.org should be flattening all alpha channels where one does not have 100% transparency. Heck of a lot of trouble to do that, though... but it would "emulate" the transparency on the EPS.
