My packages are built from KDE cvs using gcc-3.2 (I don't know if that makes the difference.) True, the load time from GDM to a usable desktop is like booting Windows. But once in, I don't notice too much of a difference in responsiveness, and I'm using the supposedly SVG Crsytal theme (You've got to see it to believe it). P.S.
