Yesterday I could run jackd --realtime -d alsa -r 44100 as a regurlar user. This morning I ran a dist-upgrade that included an upgrade of realtime-lsm. Now the jackd command aborts with a message:

unable to mlock() port buffers: Operation not permitted.

I can still run jackd as root but then I can't run Ardour as root.

How do I fix this?

Tom George
