Hey guys, so i'm having trouble w/ my backup server's kernel panicking every few days... i get no information on the screen about why, but from googling around, it seems that maybe it is the combo of this dell hardware and my scsi card:
scsi1 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.36 <Adaptec aic7899 Ultra160 SCSI adapter> aic7899: Ultra160 Wide Channel B, SCSI Id=7, 32/253 SCBs scsi2 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 6.2.36 <Adaptec 29160 Ultra160 SCSI adapter> aic7892: Ultra160 Wide Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 32/253 SCBs other people have reported random lockups/kernel panics. anyway, i'm in the market for a new scsi card, just curious which cards have worked for people (i don't want any more problems like this...) Thanks! Cameron Matheson __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
