I don't have a log of what happened, so take this with a grain of salt, but my impression was that ld.so and libc5 both existed, but were going to be updated, and it was the update that didn't work correctly. In particular, I believe I started with a set of buzz-fixed boot disks, and then installed rex packages on the system. I'm assuming that ld.so or libc5 has been updated since the buzz-fixed disks were last cut. --Mike
