Better would be Ghostscript with gv. Since most people have Ghostscript already. Ghostview is not setup to view pdf files(have this changed?) even through Ghostscript can handle it. But 'gv' on the other hand can handle pdf files and it looks much better then Ghostview. This way you don't have to waste time downloading Adobe Acrobat which is very big.
