After reading the debian-faq, I am having trouble creating a debian package for local use. One day it will reach debian.org too, I hope!
% ls control.tar.gz data.tar.gz debian-binary control/ data/ % /usr/bin/ar -rc ascii-1.2_1.deb control.tar.gz data.tar.gz debian-binary This ascii-1.2_1.deb (my unofficial debian package) is not recognized by dpkg as a valid .deb package. What should I have done instead?
