For some reason there is no 'dip' group in your system. Add an entry by appending the line 'dip:*:30:' to '/etc/group'. Make sure that group id 30 is not used by other group (search for ':30:' in the file) in such case change it to any non used group id number you like. Once this is done, you can safely reconfigure the ppp package. As root execute: dpkg --configure ppp -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
