-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- I guess I don't quite understand the purpose of the xconsole program. I have put run-xconsole in /etc/X11/config and xdm starts xconsole in the lower right corner. It gets carried over when someone logs in, but nothing ever appears in it. What is supposed to end up there? On other workstations I have worked on, there is lots of stuff that shows up in xconsole, namely errors, kernel messages that would normally go to the regular console, etc. This doesn't seem to be happening for me. Am I doing something wrong?
This is the line in Xsetup_0: if grep -q ^run-xconsole /etc/X11/config then xconsole -geometry 480x130-0-0 -daemon -notify -verbose -fn fixed \ -exitOnFail -file /dev/xconsole fi Help please!
