I went to Netscape ftp7 and got a fresh copy of both 3.01 and beta4.something, went to Debian, got the install scripts for both, put the Netscape files in /tmp, ran the scripts, both failed, did dpkg --purge netscape netscape-beta as requested, re ran them and still they failed. i'm doing something wrong if its worked for everyone else. I'll just keep the copy of Netscape I have and leave it alone. Thanks for the reply
