Gary -- From what I can tell, you need to:
copy your lilo.conf file to something like lilo.conf.floppy change the "boot=" line in lilo.conf.floppy to "boot=/dev/fd0" insert a floppy and type "lilo -C lilo.conf.floppy" This should cause lilo to write to the master boot record of the floppy.
