I am using Linux in a Compaq Deskpro 2000. What's the difference between the 2000 and the 6000?
If you suspect the problem is the Ethernet card, why don't you take it out? If it is integrated in the motherboard just disable it from the ROM BIOS. E.- Jaldhar H. There's a howto for the : Deskpro XL out there which I looked at but it didn't help. : : Alternative question: Is there a way to get the kernel to not probe for : an etherned card? That's where I suspect it is bombing. -- Eloy A.
