Certain X apps like GIMP only seem to like being run as root (in this case I can run GIMP as a user but I cannot open any files, nor can I perform editing tasks on a new one).
What is the reasoning behind this? Also, is there a way to change this so that I can run this software as a user? Thanks. -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
