It's my job to weigh the developers arguments and make a decision when they do not generate a clear consensus on their own. Note that my original proposal was to tell the CD vendor to take a hike, and I was convinced by developer argument to make changes to accomodate the CD vendor. > Even more troubling, though, are the calls to squelch dissent because of it.
