Please, help me with clarifying a boot problem. I have upgraded from Debian 1.2.17 to Debian 1.3.1, and the machine will not boot. I have recompiled the kernel 2.0.30 and rebooted the machine again. Now it hangs, but then finally boots. This is dmesg with a troubled hda disk access:

I tried to boot an old kernel 2.0.27 it was giving me error messages during a boot : "Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address c181e595.." What is wrong? Any ideas will be appreciated. ___________________________________________________________________________ Olga Mill [EMAIL PROTECTED] Eastern Washington University __________________________________________________________________________ -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
