It seems that your AMD K6 have the reported 32M hardware bug. When did you buy your CPU? Make sure your K6 is made after week 30 or contact AMD and they will give you a new one.
By the way, try to compile the linux kernel. If your CPU have the bug, then you should not be able to compile the linux kernel. Daniel J.
