Hi Gerald Hitting max mount count doesn't indicate a problem. The boot mechanism keeps track of the number of mounts for the file systems. fsck is run at this point to detect and repair problems to keep them from getting worse. I counted the boots between max count fscks on my 1.3.1 system. I got about 40. --David ------------------------------------------------------------------- LINUX: the FREE 32 bit OS for [3456]86 PC's available NOW!
