If you use either Lilo or Loadlin to boot that computer, you can get in at boot time. Add the parameter "emergency" (without quotes) [1] to the kernel parameters and you'll get bash without needing to log in. Remco [1] using loadlin, add it to the command line using lilo, type "linux emergency" (without quotes) at the lilo prompt as the volume to boot -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
