I just want to thank all of the people who were very quick and helpful in dealings with my broken upgrade of the hamm-based bash package (2.01.1-1). I have managed to install ash package, edit /etc/passwd to make ash a login shell for root and user, and than reinstall old, working bash_2.01-5.deb package.
