Because we are only humans and make mistakes? Use "--force-overwrite" when installing the package. If you have dpkg 1.4.0.20, upgrade to 1.4.0.21, as we removed the --overwrite - flag (as default) from dselect in 1.4.0.20 --- to detect those errors. Marcus -- "Rhubarb is no Egyptian god."
