Hi! I've been looking for a way to run root stuff under X! I tried doing what you said and su'ing to root, and then export DISPLAY=:0 Then when I start anything X it says: Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
I'm not sure what you mean by "whatever I run X on", but when I try other numbers besides 0, it says: _X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 2 Any ideas / explanation of what is going on here? Thanks Alot!
