I ran a machine this way for almost a year. I originally had Win95 on it. I put in a new hard drive and made it the primary master. I moved the Win95 drive to be the secondary master. I set lilo up to boot linux by default or windows if I typed "win" at the lilo prompt. It is exceptionally easy. And if need be at a later time you can move either drive to a new machine and the OS never knows the difference. The original Win95 drive is now in a new machine for my parents. I have not changed any of its settings in a year.
