Create a binary file, that contains the bit you want. The on the shell command line, execute the following command:
cat binary_file_name > /dev/lp1. or whichever device is your printer. This is actually a standard way of verifying that your printer works - or can print postscript or ASCII files in it's hardware. Under a root session, just execute the above line: cat file_name > /dev/lp1. -----Original Message----- From: Dan Golosovker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: debian-user@lists.debian.org <debian-user@lists.debian.org> Date: Thursday, July 30, 1998 6:57 AM Subject: linux software Does anyone know where I could get a linux program that would send a one bit signal accross a printer port?
