        If you are talking about VESA graphics protocal, this isn't useful with
X, since Xservers are written to interface directly with the graphics
hardware on the video card.  VESA was meant to provide a common API for
DOS progs that could support VESA and thus run on many different video
cards.  This isn't needed with X, because the X system relies on
'servers' that can be written specifically for the video card's
hardware.
