After a year of using Debian 1.3 without ever upgrading packages via ftp, I got my 2.0 CDs and upgarded via apt. It went great.
Now, a few weeks later, I decide to try to upgrade packages via ftp. I edit /etc/apt/sources.list and run $ apt-get update $ apt-get upgrade Wow! It's great! Super upgrade with hardly any interaction! Thanks for such a great tool! [Q] What would I do differently if I only wanted to upgarde certain packages? Could I still use apt-get? -- Peter Galbraith, research scientist <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Maurice Lamontagne Institute, Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada P.O.
