I use SVGATextmode, setfont and loadunimap for setting up the console for Norwegian keyboard and characters.
This works fine, but loadunimap does not seem to work when run from the init-files. I must run loadunimap after logging in the first time. Is there anything else that may affect the unicode mapping? I have also copied the unicode map I use (lat1u.uni) over the default file, this didn't help either. I currently boot the machine a lot (too noisy at night) and I want it to come up correct automatically. Is there a way to make loadunimap work before the first login?
