I am trying to setup a new Debian box to dial the internet and I trying to copy the configuration from my old system. I use pap-secrets to authenticate. My modem dials but disconnects when authenticating. In the /var/log/ppp.log file the error is:
ppp[729] peer refused to authenticate My pap-secrets, chatscript, and dial script are all the same as on the Debian 1.3 box. Is there more files that I have forgotten about. Keith
