Just thought I'd send this in case somebody else runs into problems. a week without outgoing email from my cable Internet service and nothing but run-arounds!!! What was the problem? they are having problems with smtp.chartermi.net. All i had to do was change my smtp setting in exim to smtp.charter.net. No smtp authentication is needed.
