Hello, After a communicator 4 crash, I hit the reset button because the pc was locked up and the drive was grinding away. I know this is bad but what else could I do?
Anyway, when booting up I get messages logged to the console saying thngs like: can't create file: /var/lock/... read-only filesystem. and logging to /dev/console. I booted a rescue disk and ran e2fsck - vfpy on the drive, /dev/hda6 and it complained a little but seemed to fix things. I also tried to run lilo -C /mnt/etc/lilo.conf but I am still can't boot up. Any help would be appreciated. -- Jim
