I have fianlly managed to get a proper chatscript to dial into my ISP (I think). Now I find that when pppd comes on it always fails at the LCP ConfReq phase. Here is a snippet from my ppp.log

This is not likely to change in the future given the statements made by Rockwell's management. Examine the systel log when you use the debug option. If the trace shows that the it isw sending the LCP-request frame over and over again and the id number is not incrementing then you are not exchanging frames with the remote PPP software." Can somebody help me get dial up working? I am at my wits end. S.
