Hmmm. You shouldn't have "." in your path, either; it's a security risk. Especially as root, if you're investigating someone's home directory and they've included a shell script called "ls" which does "rm -rf /", you're hosed. Even if you put "." at the end of your path, they can write scripts named after common typos.
