I have had IP Masquerading running perfectly for the last 8-9 Months, but My friend got to his inevitable reformat of his Windows 98 Hard Drive, and he carefully asked me if I could install Linux for him... Fine by me, I could then make use of his 56k modem via IP Masquerading. Everything is installed and working well, but there is one problem. When I try to download my mail from my pop account at our ISP (We have our own accounts at the same ISP), fetchmail -v gets to retrieving message 1, and then all hell slows to a halt. It takes forever for the mail message to be downloaded. Not that this is a major problem, It's just that it would be handy if it actually worked properly.
Has anybody got any ideas on this? If you want more info, just ask... I cant get the exact output now, I am using my modem for a change.. I can next time the 56k is in use.
