Edit /etc/lpd.perms so it has a couple of lines saying sth. like this # reject all connections from remote machines ACCEPT SERVICE=X HOST=localhost REJECT SERVICE=X and make sure that you have no other `SERVICE=X' lines in that file. Also, these lines should appear before the `DEFAULT' line.
