The KDE's kvt keeps setting TERM to xterm-color, which is no good since other systems do not like it. I'd like to make it just xterm on a system-wise basis (so that every user does not have to do it manually). Do you know which file is to be modified ?
What puzzles me though is that another box that I've setup a month ago (also slink) does not have the problem and gives plain "xterm", and I don't recall changing anything. I could not figure not what is different. Any ideas ? Sergey.
