-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- The ip-up script is not being run when I start a ppp connection using pon. I can run the script manually, and it works OK. I've read the pppd man page, but didn't find anything in it that mentioned anything about requiring this script to have certain permissions or ownership (aside from the obvious execute permissions). It doesn't matter if I run pon as root or a user; the script isn't run in either case.
There are no error messages. Any ideas? noah PGP public key available at http://lynx.dac.neu.edu/home/httpd/n/nmeyerha/mail.html or by 'finger -l [EMAIL PROTECTED]' -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 2.6.2 iQCVAwUBNj81bIdCcpBjGWoFAQEjdgQArp58gFdSfSlGVShJlHEF8WNvbnHigZ5D s3MXx4UuKLv+NNXzToRAUm/qgT62S4+7Ellsl1fYyZ5xpBIsCdPp7XABUH1r5cWH esR51lU3yTj+MlvUaOi3RG1gwHoi4p0cPIkypMu7LcW1Q7kz+P580NaLwgzx1NEm trUk+evoR3A= =iQns -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
