Hi,

I was in the middle of the reply when I had an idea: try to look at
different places for the logs. Well, for my surprise I found some detailed
log at /var/spool/lpd/printer_name/status.{printer}

I pasted some lines bellow so you can check if this is enough:
-------------
printing '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', start, attempt 1 at 10:37:20
opening '/dev/lp1' at 10:37:20, attempt 1, timeout 10, grace 0 at 10:37:20
accounting at start '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' at 10:37:20
printing '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', file 1 'cathedral-bazaar.ps', size 369942,
format 'f' at 10:37:20
printed 25 percent of 369942 bytes of cathedral-bazaar.ps at 10:37:26
printed 50 percent of 369942 bytes of cathedral-bazaar.ps at 10:37:28
printed 75 percent of 369942 bytes of cathedral-bazaar.ps at 10:37:29
printed 100 percent of 369942 bytes of cathedral-bazaar.ps at 10:43:06
printed all 369942 bytes at 10:43:06
accounting at end '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' at 11:00:55
printing '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', closing device at 11:00:56
printing '[EMAIL PROTECTED]', finished at 11:00:56
subserver status 'JSUCC' for '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' at 11:00:56
job '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' removed at 11:00:56
server finished at 11:00:56
----------------

Hope this help and sorry for the long msg.
