Dude, actually this is an EIDE box. 540mb was origial IDE. It seems that EIDE had a 2.0? wall. UDMA EIDE I'm not sure of the limit... However, the bus it the same so you can use larger drives on the old systems. But in dos-land you've got to get a special driver (included from maxtor).
