I'm having a bit of trouble with apt-get. Background: slink install from HDD connected to LAN without trouble installed socks-client via sneakernet and configured per the man page, setting http and ftp for port 1080 in socks.conf can successfully pass through firewall with minicom read the man page for sources.list and tried both set $http_proxy and http://proxy:port/
apt-get generates "403 Proxy denies fulfilling the request" when trying to update Packages.gz There is not enough space on my LAN ftp point to drop the Debian archive and the PC has no CD-ROM. Help???
