Ah, the infamus glibc 2.1 breaks C++ programs. You can grab APT 0.3.0 from http://www.debian.org/~jgg and change all those nasty 'ftp' urls to nice 'http' ones. Or you can compile APT your self on a glibc 2.1 system, I'm told that fixes it. Jason
