I typed 'time' at the prompt and got a "syntax error near unexpected token `newline'" I did a "locate n/time" looking for "time" in a "*bin/" directory -- not there. I searched "man bash-builtins" -- not there. AHHH -- there it is, in "man bash" buried in "SHELL GRAMMAR --> Pipelines", where it doesn't stand out at all. <sigh> I knew it was simple, just brain dead at 0400.
