That suguests to me that somthing is deeply wrong with sound. What kernel is this, exactly (if it really is a 2.1, you should probably upgrade)? Are you using compiled-in drivers, or modules? Does your .config file have a line that says CONFIG_SOUND=m (or 'y', as approprate)? -=- James Mastros
