Please help I can't find what I'm doing wrong, my debian-woody only looks localy for internetnames (www.freshmeat.net), altough accessing the internet with ip numbers works fine.
What more than route, /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/hosts must be configured? Im using a winmodem and wvdial for internetconnections. i don't think it should matter but I'm using wvdial from debian-potato, since the woody release didn't work. The lynx error looks like this: ------------------------------> Looking up www.freshmeat.net first Looking up www.freshmeat.net.com, guessing Looking up www.freshmeat.net.edu, guessing Looking up www.freshmeat.net.net, guessing Looking up www.freshmeat.net.org, guessing Can't Access 'file://localhost/root/www.freshmeat.net' Alert!
