I guess this is because I installed bo, upgraded to slink and then potato, but...
There is a /usr/lib/elvis directory that contains documentation and trash (MS-DOS stuff). There is also a /usr/doc/elvis directory. There are directories /usr/lib/developers-reference, /usr/doc/developers-reference and /usr/share/developers-reference.
