I have a Sound Blaster PCI128 card which works Ok with NT but I have be unable to get it working under Debian Linux 2.1. I compiled the kernel correctly I think, I get the Sound initialization started Sound initialization complete message, but nothing in between. cat /dev/sndstat gives the card config ( 0xef00 ir1 15 drq 1,5 ) but there is nothing under Audio Devices: is nothering under Snh evices. The soundBlaster driver is built into the kernel with /dev/au and /dev/dsp, midi interfaces and FM synthesis
Is this a problem of not having the correct driver? Is there a driver for this? Or is this a problem of PnP? Sebastian Canagaratna Department of Chemistry Ohio Northern University Ada, OH
